Poet to poet
Across the abyss
Two unlikely souls
Finding a common thread
Among the complexities
And thorns of daily existence

Purely by chance
They connected
Finding a part of the whole
Long since forgotten
The burning embers
Of young love

A respite from the daily grind
Yet, the bridge to reality
Was simply a mirage
A foolish Quixotic quest
Burned into nothingness
Like April snow

The first two lines

Feel like they're from my Riff in the Rift

But this splits apart where Riff came together.
