I noticed poets always
search
for new names
initials

           mnemonics and metaphors

- I read of Iris plucking grapes

           or

           Shannon bathed in mossy coolness

           Love becomes filament cobweb
           crystals of light

Why don’t they talk of a good toss
                      with Doris in the grass?

I suspect

they call it a romantic interlude where Doris and I shared our eternal souls.

but we all know what they really mean.

Great work

I like it

Thank you

Strong...

and simple wondering. Why don't they? That is a great question!
