I can feel it coming, rising
To the surface with the pull
Of my anxious heart.
My face is red, the heat flowing
Across my body, through my rigid frame;
And all at once it overtakes me.
Pain, pleasure, hatred and passion;
A driving lust for blood and love;
A rage so primal, so overwhelming
That I fear;
I fear.

Like a driving rain, a torrent; insane,
It pounds at my fragile body
Like my balled fists as they
Would hammer into that woven bag.
And all at once I take control,
My muscles aching, trembling violently;
A shudder flushes across my body,
Cold, as I lock this poison away;
For another day.
