Sand hot gritty under feet
Sifts through toes
Gulls screech and flap
Part as we approach
Loving eyes connect
Lips touch and quiver
Salty air swirls about
Waves undulate and thunder
As we trace the edge
Of earth and sea
Or
High atop the world
In crystal air
White peaks soar
Fragrant spruce and pine
Perfumes existence
Sun warms as we love
On the chill nakedness of rock
So much nothing
To such magnificence
Or
Water spills off a high ledge
Verdant green filters light
Mist settles on eyelashes
Moss covers rocks
Adorning paradise
Naked in a pool
We flow loving
Each over the other
Lost in the scheme
Of all things
Or
Snow flakes drift lazy
On crisp night air
Big ones fat ones
Settle on tongues
Melt on eyelids and cheeks
Later a fire
Embracing
Smiling at fortune
Of each other
So many possibilities
