The Lord is my shepard, i shall not want
A ritual of sacrifice
she shuddered
shadowed doubt filled eyes upon a silent face.

Of course there's no need to perform it - I've friends enough here
she smiled
leaning against the wall for support as she gazed at the pools still surface.

And the monster has more than likely found someone to fill my place
she thought
her eyes faraway and wet with tears.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.
A ritual of sacrifice
she shuddered
shadowed loveless eyes upon a silent face.

Of course there's no need to perform it - I've friends enough here
she smiled
clutching a bottle as she slid one foot forward and gazed at the pools still surface.

And the monster has more than likely found someone to take my place
she thought
her eyes faraway and thoughtful.

He leads me beside still waters.
A ritual sacrifice
she shuddered
shadowed rage filled eyes impotent upon a silent face.

Of course there's no need to perform it just now - I've friends enough here
she smiled
Gripping the railing with shaking hands as she leaned forward delicately balanced over the pools still waters.

And the monster could more than likely find someone to take my place
she thought
her eyes faraway and wondering.

He restores my soul.
A ritual sacrifice
she shuddered
shadowed hurt filled eyes marring a silent face.

Of course there's no need to perform it just now - I've friends enough here
she shivered
Burying her face in shaking hands as her body recoiled from the pools accusing waters.

And the monster would more than likely find someone to take my place
she thought
her voice catching.

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
A ritual sacrifice
she shivered
shadowed chaos filled eyes a confusion of longing and bewilderment.

Of course there's no reason to perform it just now - I've friends enough here she whispered
Swallowing a handful of pills as she swayed out over the pools clear waters.

And the monster would take me back
she thought
her voice full of dread.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil.
A ritual sacrifice
she said
and smiled as she fell, breaking the surface of the pools still waters.
