Toast to friends loved hard and lost,
Love knows no bounds and no fear,
And Love loves, no matter the cost,
Pour one out for the loved ones,
Those dearly departed to Beyond,
Remember for a brief moment the lost ones,
The ones Fate claimed, now gone,
Beautiful times shared embracing each other,
Hearts entwined in ways the world couldn't know,
Pour one out for husband, and for lover,
Those who went where the living can't go,
Set aside the happiness of the season,
And for a short while remember what's been lost,
Death truly never needs a reason,
Love loves, no matter the cost,
Pour one out for the new year,
It brings joy to appease all this pain,
Love loves, without hurry or fear,
And Love comes, it always comes again.
