Predicament

I remain in position.
The wall has nothing to hold my interest.
It is a little torturous
Standing like this

My strong arms
Linked fingers behind my head
Ankles spread to shoulder width
Deep breathes and a straight spine.

So then, how to not look toward the source of sound?
Your back is turned.
A buckknife tossed upon the bed.
I repress a gasp, othewise You’d know I peeked.

Maybe You might take it away from our play.

I’m curious and want to see what’s in store for me
What You will do and what I will feel.
I choose to trust.
And wonder always what Your experience is.

I stand such
Await Your inspection
I work hard for Your continuing approval
Because it is the reflected measurement of my own.
