Such a pretty poison.
Potent as a charm.
Inside I stay frozen.
Safe from any harm.
I'd never mean to hurt you.
Promises I don't make.
Wanting me is fire and ice.
Just a risk you choose to take.
Do I seem simply a dream?
You know they're never real.
Like a pretty china doll
this toy does not feel.
Pretty on the outside.
Such a perfect, pristine shell.
But look a little deeper.
I've seen my share of hell.
So I warn you straight
Don't hand to me your heart.
How can I hold it gently
when mine has come apart?
