I lay alone in my bed...
thinking of you,
the one I trusted
with my thoughts
feelings
my love.
For years and years,
and expected more.
We shared.
Love...
dreams,
and days of sorrow.
You filled my life,
and my body.
Then it changed.
I wasn't paying
attention,
or enough time.
I got too comfortable,
relaxed...
got busy.
Didn't notice..
until too late.
We can't go back,
or fix the unfixable.
Can't change
moments.
Time swept away everything.
Time leaves nothing,
but memories
and wisps of a dream.
And soon enough,
the wind blows them away.
I'm left with nothing.
And you forgot
promises made.
Because they never mattered.
