YOU SO UGLY YOU LOOK LIKE AN AFRICAN

And what about that offends you
is it the darkness of my skin
what about my looks are so distasteful to you
must I be light bright or close to white
to look alright
Is it my hair.. natural and curly
would you be more accepting if I fried dyed and laid it to the side
Is it the width of my nose or maybe the fullness of my lips
that brings from you such hateful quips
why is it these features are seen as ugly
unless it's on Angelina Joli
my backside is ample and firm
but big butt was a huge no no
until the discovery of J-lo
have we become so brainwashed by what the media says is right
that the genes we inherit from our foreparents are unappealing to our sight
or have you become so accustomed to the features inherited from the raping of our mothers
that you have come to abhor the beauty coveted by others
Or is it envy, that I am not afraid to be me
for you to see me as I am meant to be, dark skin, wide nose, full lips
not what someone else wants to see
We are descendents of Hatshepsut, Nefertari, and Nefertiti,
I am proud of my ancestry, it's a PITY you can't be.
