Compass rose conversations in chaos
The battery of heckling
Cacophony

Browbeating North always relentless
All the mistakes noted
Castigated

Lying tongue of West begging pathos
With quiet-grin obloquy
Mendacity

Servile East whimpering while gutless
Babble hoped sentiment
Sycophant

Vainglorious South secreting its boasts
Proud noises deafening
Gasconading

Flooded pressing of voices unbearable
Lose mine in aching din
Overwhelmed

A perfect snapshot

Like listening to about 10 political talk shows at the same time. I love the way you have used your words to capture that overwhelming noise. Who can tell where the substance is?

And, while I had a good idea of what gasconading means, I looked it up to be sure - yep, I think it's the first time I may have encountered it outside Alexandre Dumas.
