I can see the rain
Bouncing off cement
Tiny little bombs
Exploding as they strike

I can hear the rain
Staccato quick drum beat
Hissing through the air
Sizzling on hot tar

I can smell the rain
Pungent like a field
Rich with its mixed tones
Of earth and sky and sea

I can taste the rain
Fresh like new made snow
Sizzling wet delight
Upon my out stretched tongue

I can feel the rain
Trickling down my back
Making small wet lines
Across uneven skin
