April first showers are yet to come,
They’ll leave puddles on the lawn,
The rain may last just a few moments,
and then they’re gone.

As I Avert my eyes skyward,
the gray clouds will just float by,
Hopefully I’ll observe a beautiful rainbow,
With vibrant colors so clear and radiant,
Reds, yellows, greens and blues,
well stand out against the sallow blue skies,
with indigo, violet, and golden hues
completing the setting so wondrous.

When I watch the rainbow come to life,
I’ll recalled the fairy tale of old,
That at the rainbow's end you’ll find,
a glittering pot of gold.

The true moral of the story,
Is that the true wealth isn’t the gold,
It’s truly, “Your love and family” that’s the true treasure.
And with you my sweet darling I have my "pot of gold",
For you are my golden treasure!
