Do you remember
When our eyes first met?
A crowded room
I turned my head,
Only you I kept.

You voice so uncommon
A song I'd never heard.
I thought I knew through others
How wrong how wrong the words.

Chance meeting
And then many others.
Sweet dances upon the clouds.
I couldn't, you wouldn't
Still our lips have met.

Now I breathe daily
Of air I can't forget.
My greed it knows no boundary
I take it all,
Saving none for others.

Some worlds are set afire
Blazing bright too bright and yet.
Gaze until flames flicker a bit
Danger only in forget.
