A poem for a woman that I shall probably never know
By a woman named Maria
For Esther

From the arch of your spine, I'd taste stars.
With my thumb on your ripe lips, I'd drink the nectar from your eyes.
Oh, if you would let me lift your hair, my fingertips grazing over your nape, what an honor it would be to kiss the willowy curve of your neck.

I know this feeling

I too have written texts upon texts of words for a woman I will likely never know (Julia)... she's really only stuck there in my mind. This poem reminds me of her, as silly as that sounds. Lovely writing, beautiful sentiment... something very familiar to me.
