On a dark lonely night not long ago
He called to me with words unspoken
A language of the heart filled with woe
I heard his call though my heart broken

I went to him with tender soul exposed
To discover a presence vastly accepted
I knew this man my heart supposed
But in this life we weren’t connected

Slowly the memories began to unearth
Of this great love our hearts had shared
A love so strong to produce a rebirth
From another time when our hearts were paired

The memories continued as we rejoined our souls
We knew things of each other only lovers would We embrace this awareness as a distant thunder rolls
For somewhere in the past is evil not understood

How could this love not be accepted by all
Such a sweet awakening from a life of sleep
The memoirs of an evil specter stands tall
Still our love for now and ever runs deep

I will not waver and accept this fear
My courage comes from trust abound
I refuse to be unsettled or shed a tear
When this disgraceful spirit comes round

We will stay in this place of joy unaltered
Never to fear but live for the day
Our love for each other will not be faltered
Time will carry this evil presence away
