Recollections from a High Fever

Into the fire Nebucadnezzar
Darkness cast out
Then draws me down
Someone weeps....Is it me?
Heart falters...then races on
Struggling for breath in
The early hours of the morning.
Racked by coughing
It hurts, hurts, hurts,
Where there's life there's pain
And the fever gallops on....
