Recycled

It was not enough to know
But somehow she did
That something would have to go
Either him or her
And then it ended
Like a nuclear explosion
An atom bomb
It did not go quietly into the night
As one would have thought
But screamed and cried and dragged its feet
Reluctantly thru the doorway
And out into the street
Where it was neatly bagged and placed inside
The recyclable bin
For certainly this relationship
Could be reused, reduced, recycled.
