On Red Beach, your silhouette stood
Shining down a veil of shadows, of sounds
Spellcast, I sat on silent sand
As my remorse for you grew without bounds
I crawled along the dirt for mercy
So low, my belly ploughed the earth
But in grief, I misplaced my soul
Not the first time since my birth
My heart floated away on waves, on winds
Carried along with your cries, with your gaze
Wearing our shroud of fluttering black
Blank against the boiling sea, my mind in a daze
My body reached your leg as you crouched for comfort
But embrace turned to disregard, no begging back our innocence
And you wandered back into the ominous, into oblivion
The ocean surrounded you, a vision enveloped in malevolence
Across the years, across the horizon
There drifted my dear Christ, away with my religion
