Reflections Thyself

And so our path, joined together, for so long finally parts
But as we part down our own paths,
You and I have the knowledge that our paths
Shall never be far from each other.

You came into my life at a time when I needed love,
You came bringing a message of love and loyalty.
You came holding truthfulness and honour
Most high in the virtues of morals.

You gave me hope in a future, when my days were dark,
You were the light that bought day to my night.
You made me want to become a better man,
And through your love and understanding,
You made me into that greater person.

You made me reflect on my past and my own mistakes,
You had me realise that to be forgiven,
I had to forgive myself and others.
You walked down my path, setting right my own track.

You have made me into the man I am today.
You were my treatment for my cynicism and sarcasm
You were the drug that made me smile again and again.
I owe so much to you my lover.

So as you and I part from our chosen paths.
Know you have made me into that better person.
Your smile, your words, I will never forget.
How could I?
I will always hold you in my heart.

So I wish you happiness and joy, my love,
I wish that all you deserve comes to you.
And above all know I have reflected and still reflect thyself.
