J and I became lovers.
And for 13 years, that is
all we have been. I
say Lovers because
we are in love: with each
Other, our past, our
bodies together. I say
That is all because
of the rage that
wells inside me
when I see him,
thin, lean...
and because
of the despair
that cracks
his voice when he
greets me.
And so
when we
come together
we don't speak, and
we don't
open our eyes.
We can only move,
in silence and
in darkness
on these rare moments
when we choose
to remind
each
other
we
are
alive.
