Is it just a dream?
I think not.
a memory then
of a child
never known in this life.
back through the shades
of a different reality.
she gathers yellow irises
in a watery world
of sunshine
only to lose her life
alone
in the dark
turgid waters
of the night.
who are you child
that I remember?
