I remember
Though you forget
That long ago dance

A languid night on the water
A long twilit evening of breezes
Warm and gentle as silk

And the swaying boat in
Intimate darkness
Far from shore.

Unafraid, your heart and body open,
You came to me
With willingness and tender caress.

A breast, a nipple, a hollow of the neck:
These you offered to me
As gifts freely given.

My awakening began, the familiar pulse
And soft throb and quickening need
To touch, explore, glide over and pass through

And to squeeze and possess,
And take:
Those needs, too, awoke.

You delivered your body to me
And I lifted it up and made it radiant
With pleasure
With lust
With soft urgency.

Each of us testing and teasing
The sex of the other
A woman's mouth on a penis
A man's lips and tongue
On labia and clitoris.

Delving and probing and pushing and urging
One another to new heights of loving ecstasy
And fresh heavens of mutual sacrosanct joy.

In time, our journey that night
Reached its natural destination
And you welcomed me in
Your waiting womanhood accepting me
Deep into your body
Embracing my intimate penetration
Your voice crying out across the still water
Our selves fused
For a few precious moments
Into one self.

Rocking, swaying, rhythmic gentle dance
Of naked lovers going on and on
And on,
The unbearable sweetness drowning us both
In a beautiful oblivion.

Then
The point of fusion suddenly glowed
White hot
Fire on fire
Clenching, stretching, pulling, swelling
Mingled screams of a man and a woman
Lost together in the core of the Sun.

After, the gentle night breezes
Brought sleep to us both
Still naked
Each other's juices on our skin
Face to face
Breast to breasts
Penis to mons
Lust spent and replaced by
Contentment.
