The hotel room was a gorgeous blaze of lapis blue.
Gently she closed the door behind us
And she moved closer
To begin the voluptuous ritual of fulfillment,
Languid in a falling crumple of taupe light.
I entered her
Like a glide of pink lipstick going on,
Like a leg into a stocking, black silk,
Deep as a comet’s white-hot tail,
As slowly as night falling.
She was shimmering summer fog moist,
moving as if stealing an unsuspecting heart.
One Oh bloomed from her, then nodded away
Like a firefly
Drifting across a far distant field.
