Resignation

You tell me what to do.
You tell me when to do it.
You tell me how to do it.
Then you belittle me.

I have a brain
With good ideas inside it.
I can even walk and chew gum –
What do you think of that!

You use me.
You take advantage of me.
You don’t appreciate me.
Yet you keep wanting more from me.

I have feelings.
I’m an emotional person
I don’t like being hurt
By you or anyone else –
How do you feel about that!

You are cruel and thoughtless,
Demanding and demeaning,
Selfish and uncompromising.
You rage when I ask for a bit of consideration.

You are only my boss
And I am no longer willing
To tolerate your brand of leadership.
I am no longer resigned to accepting
This treatment in exchange for an inadequate paycheque,
In fact, I quit –
How do you like me now!

you asked

I love you!!!!!

If the boss treats you like a trained monkey, then you.....

No, you'd better not.....

But then he'd make a wretched husband.
