Heavy, salty breeze of the river,
splashes of brown water
buffet my hand-made bangka.
I see angry nimbus
threatening,
shoreline bamboos paying homage
to its master.
I whistle a song
for soon I will be home
safe in your arms.
Trans: Bangka-- a filipino word, which means a canoe or a small boat.
