He steals closer eyes aglow growling
through my head, he will pounce soon,
I feel his power, I feel his heat.
Muscles ripple, a pause, he is upon me
caught and carried through the trees
ripping away all self restraint,
a clenching roar,
time has no meaning
only the dash onwards
upwards through the tree tops.
He bites once, twice
at the third a scream, falling
to lie broken and satiated at his feet.
