I lick my lips of the newly fresh cologne you sprayed on your neck.
You thought I wouldn’t notice.
Your scent stays on the tip of my nose through out the day,
Through out my insignificant activities.
Keeping you out of my mind will be impossible today.
I start by wondering through the corridors of our love,
Old memories bring joy to my face.
Even the bad ones.
Knowing we can survive anything…. knowing we did.
The cards, the gifts, the jewelry, all irrelevant, all tarnished compared to your priceless “I love you”.
The journey takes me to our first kiss.
How coy your were!
Playing hard to get, trapping me in your labyrinth when I thought I was trapping you.
I thought I was so bold, so overconfident in my own abilities; I could take on an army and still have time to paint a sky.
You grounded me , balanced my judgment, which I wouldn’t admit welcome.
Still too hard-headed for that.
Time passes and we are apart, black clouds danced upon my skies.
I was unsure of me, of us. However, there you were again, my knight, always comforting.
Its summer again, we are reunited however, our bliss is momentary.
Harsh critics judge our love.
I am considered a harlot, and you rouge.
I use my wit and tell my counterfeit judge “Cast not a stone in your glass house of lies”.
So dramatic.
A year of frustrations, sacrifices all worth its weight in gold.
Suddenly the stormy winds of change blow us to the peace before the storm.
Oh, what peace it has been. Long days, superior victuals, and obsessive lovemaking.
The eye is passing, soon fall will come blowing in, straining your character, your mind.
You feel uncertain but worry not my love.
Now it is my turn. I will shield you from harsh winds and cold winters.
I will be your stability.
Let me.
You might think this the speech of a mad woman and you would be close.
For I have a touch of madness,
I am in love with you.

I like the idea...

that you are going for here. The sheltered becomes the shield while the world's winds rage around. Try to tighten the lines and you will be able to clear up your images and give them more power. Also watch the typos (I'm guilty of that to)

The title, "Right ...Left" works well with the maze references. Good ideas, try to work on the presentation.
