Radiant colors
grace the sky
reflected
by the river
that ribbons
around the bend.
Mezmerizeing water
in hypnotic stare
engulfed
by wilderness
seperated
by sandy shore
The stumps are
monumental timbers
reaching from it's depths
like hands to the heavens
caressed for now
by the rivers edge.
Quinching thirst
are deer and fawn
where they belong
as bird songs fill the air.
Touched by
a lite breeze
that toys
at loose leaves.
Coon and nutra
scamper about
teasing
squirrel and dog.
Pelicans that fly
in circles overhead,
a slight stinch
of watery bog
mixed with honeysuckle.
Tranquility and peace
in seclusion
This is where I reside...
Riverside.
