thinking of roads
long, straight and narrow
somewhere between
Key West and Barrow,
cups of road coffee
window rolled down
counting the miles
from town to town,
hot, dusty desert
mountains of snow
don't really matter
which way you go,
the trick is to travel
push on to dawn
oh, so much better
than mowing the lawn ...
