Rocky Mountain Hi-o- (poem)

With the legalization of pot of Jan-2014,

Many cheers & jeers from what will soon be an abundance of rivers of angry tears.

Legal smoking and doping is all well and good,

Until you start to notice that employers excuses for weeding out the ones they could,

Driving on pot, on the other hand,

Will land you in jail by the very seat of your pants,

Because pot will stay in your system for a lot longer than you think,

As passing a sobriety test after smoking on a weekend, your tests on Thursday will in fact stink,

Pot is not like alcohol, as eight hours after drinking, your body will return from stall,

As smoking & doping will remain in your system for years in possible negative enthrall,

In Denver, any person can now own & grow up to twelve potted, pot plants,

A definite excursion of trips to the repeated consumer, branch ranch,

And as the world gazes in amazement of it all,

Tourists from all over the country are showing up in Colorado for the now free for all,

As the sunsets over the proverbial rocky Mountain tops,

Ramifications of side effects of this new law has a propensity to belly flop,

As in granting a whole new unconscious generation-al era of pacification of soma will crop,

Recreational this and recreational that, as lines and lines of endless stats,

Driving and guising might sound really fun of a kind,

Until you get stopped and dropped as your troubles will soon arise.

Happy New Year
