Raging, summer sun blisters the worn asphalt,
casting the horizon into a seemingly hazy sweat,
as we blaze down the nearly empty back road.
Rag top down, pine-scented winds racing to envelop us.
Your dark hair tied back into a swaying ponytail,
while mine waves about wildly and into my eyes.
But you let the wind gently push your light sundress,
back and forth across your silken, long legs;
carefully using it as a pretense to let more thigh show.
You catch me stealing a glance and you fight of a smile.
"Watch the road," you say with a playful laugh.
Eyes turn back to the asphalt and speeding yellow lines.

No awkward tension in the air, but also no clever words,
to fill the heated and charged gap that lay between us.
Then I feel your hand move to my bare leg below shorts
and sense you gingerly leaning ever closer to me,
until the warmth of your breath dances on my ear.
You start to nibble on my earlobe, as your hand moves,
slowly up my leg, creeping as if meant a secret;
teasingly working closer each second to my crotch.
Desperately trying to concentrate on the road, but losing,
to the flow of passion burning through our bodies.

Finally your deft hand finds it desired destination,
as you issue a breathy murmur of delight in my ear,
having found my needs already at a full boil.
Gently running your hand back and forth over fabric,
as you move your lips to my neck granting kisses.
Fingers coyly flicker the zipper, then cautious unzip it.
"Oh yeah, baby" I whisper, letting my hips rise slightly.
You take my sweet desire into your delicate caress,
as tires slip carelessly from chipped pavement to gravel,
before realization snaps the wheel harshly back to the left.
Briefly startled you relinquish your embrace, looking forward.
"Perhaps we should pull over" you quip with a knowing grin.
