Rolling On Again

Rolling on again
Over distant highways
Passing new horizons
Traveling endless days
Never stopping long. Just
Rolling on again.
Sights never seen before
Appear before my gaze
Never satisfying
My wanderlust needs more.
Rolling on again
What I'm searching for
Remains a mystery to me
Ever looking, never finding.
But that's ok you see.
Rolling on again.
"The hunt's the thing!"
A wise man said
The quest everlasting
Solved only by the dead.
Rolling on again
I've traveled this weary world
For several lifetimes it seems
And many more will come and pass
similar recurring themes.
Rolling on again.
You never think of freedom
until it's ripped away
The journey interrupted
To resume again one day
Rolling on again
Years go by
Eons pass
And yet still another day
And always I will find myself,
Rolling on again.

yeah...

it would help to use a line break after each "rolling on again." :)

rubbing sleepy eyes

I like some of your lines in here! I wish I had some line breaks for my weary eyes....

Here

we have a song, what works in a song, often does not work in a poem, and vice versa. decide what you want to do.

Rolling on again- da da dada da....

Rolling on again- da da dada da....

Rolling on again

Sounds good as a song.

"Years go by

Eons pass

And yet still another day

And always I will find myself,"

Good rule of thumb, never use "eons pass"

As I said earlier you have a good ear.
