ROXANNE SLEEPING
She pretends to fall asleep.
I touch her face and wait. I touch her breasts.
Roxanne does not stir.
I caress her belly and gaze at the shape
Of her thighs and between her legs.
I kneel and look at her for a long time.
Then I shift her leg slightly to be able to see more.
She is melting under my touch and my eyes:
How wonderful it is to be looked at while seemingly
Sleeping, to feel that the other is entirely free.
