Sadness like a cloak envelops me,
Hopes and dreams, is it only a fantasy.
Whispered promises in the dark,
Wondering what to do with a shattered heart.

Giving all, and giving more,
I thought the love would last forevermore.
Now as the tide turns,
The love I have still burns.

Enraptured love, captured soul,
Without Him, I am half of a whole.

The journey has to continue along the path,
I worry and wonder if I will survive the aftermath.
Drawing on my strength and passion,
I’m sure I’ll be right as rain after a fashion.

Craving touch, needing the darkness,
The decadent desires rising up only to fall into a sweet abyss.
Longing for the times we shared of pure unadulterated bliss

Lonely times are up ahead,
Wanting to just crawl into bed,
Wishing, but knowing I am not dead.

The hope within me springs eternal,
The seed was sown from a kernel,
The fight will always be internal.

The fruits of my passions and desires,
Will blaze again like raging fires,
I’ve only got to watch out for the many briars.

The turning of a page,
The sense of renewal will soon be the rage,
It is then that treasures will begin to unfold,
Promises of delights and happiness untold.

Saying good bye, letting go,
Is the hardest thing I’ll ever do,
But it is something I must do I know.
Good bye to us, good bye to me and You.

Hope will live within me,
The truth will always be hard for most to see.
But the thing I want the most to be,
Is a lucky, happy true part of You and me.
