This effulgent curtain
That before the eyes is stretched
This beauty rare not to enveil
But to reveal
The colour, life, and music, all
Of gentle spring’s first rainfall

That tender bud on the threshold of bloom
Petals proffered like tremulous lips
To love’s shy, diffident kiss
That emerald carpet with pearls bedecked
The sight does manifold seduce
The rustic melody of the cuckoo’s trill
Unto itself the ear does beckon
This simple, harmonious world with joy replete
Why shouldn’t the heart lift?
Why should this be the time
When you aren’t with me?

The Writer's Hand

"The hand of a sensualist. A sensualist's hands." Painting the bright side with a beautifully delicate hand and never forgetting to show the shadows.
