Salvador Dali is dead

            Salvador Dali, 1904-1989

Salvador Dali is dead
and 'neath the melting clocks
and kept time of these sallowed things
no body seemed to notice
blue shirts sweat and one woman's smile
mourning it was -- morning
that glistened
chainlink speckles and lost fantasies
rainbows that are sucked into
the soaked blue shirts
with grimaced smiles

Salvador Dali is dead
and no body noticed
the buttcan urn is like some
Grecian thing -- dark grey casted shadows
instead of the gentle painted earth
that some Greek threw upon the wheel
as the sun danced warmly 'round him
and made sense
and was clear
here was that graceful urn
perfect tomb for the Spaniard's ashes
while the clock ticked deftly on the wall
sentences rambled on
with file upon file of blue shirts
waiting sweating chainlinks
and all

Salvador Dali is dead
and no body noticed           hell
they don't even know his name

Wow!

This poem is amazing! Reading it gave me a familiar warm feeling.

Glad I read this one, damn.

The title wins best of the month!

What else is there.

I am tired of critiques, this is just good. The butt can part, classic.

Did you ever see his sculptures? There is an amazing gallery in Venice that has all sculptures. Far out

someday I will go back waahh in maybe 20 years

I will send a post card :)
