Click hereIt approaches like a thief
It steals our hopes and dreams
And leaves us empty
It hunts and preys
And takes away
In a brief instant
It begins
A path of destruction
A devastating turn
Emotions crumble
It starts on a whim
And devastates on a whim
Swirling emotions
A raging river of torment
False idols will be worshiped
But help is not an option
None can escape
It is our fate
Sometimes slow
Sometimes quick
It creates abandonment
Instills fear
And still we move along
Try to hang on
Trudge ahead
No better choice given
To meet, greet and conquer
Our memories
Sobering our thoughts
Making us kinder
More compassionate

I like all three of your poems. But probably this best of all.
Attraction is a lovely piece of fun - and a very well told story.
Distraction was one of the deepest and most insightful poems I have read. The only thing that held it back from being truly great was that it is slightly cerebral and thus has limited connection. But congratulations for putting this into a poem.
This one. Death and old age - and possibly loss. Together with what remains for us. Remorselessly thought through and brought home. Inescapable. A very good poem - in my opinion.
Extremely good to see such a spectrum of thought in three poems. I very much look forward to seeing more.
