Got a new to me pair of shoes. Tight in the toe with socks. Wrote letters for ten hours. Listened to a skewed history lesson. Got chastised for being love stubborn. Listened to a kid play saxophone. Laughed into a Lego microphone. Noticed I looked better but smelled of stale smoke. Ran like a girl in the rain with a quality umbrella. Caught a pair of green eyes. Showed me his left hand. Slick like, in and out of his pocket as he spoke. Asked who I was like a gentleman. Shook with a burly thumb. I blushed. My name squeezed out of my tight smile. Watched me watch him. Blue collar. Widow's peak. Grown man braces and rubberbands. I'm afraid I gave him the once over twice. I almost liked his nose. It is that time of the moon and I was flattered.
