Morbid thoughts cross the boundaries,
Of Space and Time,
From my mind comes forth a million thoughts and images,
Of a world beginning to die.
I have the power to bring life to a dying world,
To give forth to a world that has given me its sum of fruits
Yet I remember your goodbye
I remember you telling me sweet everythings
What I wanted to hear.
You told me to wait for you, that you'd return.
From a journey to find your lost self.
So I waited and waited, time slowed,
Until it was a mere nothing.
I had hope that you'd return smiling and ready.
Read to embark on our long life together
But as time sped on, for me it slowed,
Slowed everyday a bit more –
Until I realised you were not returning.
Morbid thoughts transcend Space and Time,
I watch a world turning on itself
And in my hands I hold the very thing that will save it.
Trembling hands full of hurt and rage,
Bear not the hands of help but vile anger
I waited for you, but you didn't come back
You promised me, and you broke your promise
So I watch on as our world dies a slow painful death,
So like the pain I am feeling like a knife deep inside my soul,
And even if you returned, would it matter?
The damage has been done –
My heart is cold, love no more a wall of support,
Morbid thoughts like a scion,
My misplaced love is now a weapon of mass emotion,
Nothing is love around me, all I see,
Is my foolhardy mistakes.
