When at night, as you lie dreming in your bed, what is it that you see?
By chance is it my very face gazing at you from somewhere afar?
Is it my hungry eyes, ablaze with the fires and furies of a thousand hells?
The same eyes that once looked upon you adoringly, placing you above all else.

Or,perhaps, it is my heart. Once warm, open, and inviting you in. The heart
that both loved you and trusted you. The heart that has, in the aftermath of your
deception, turned darker than the deep, still night. Colder than the winter air
that blows across the barren land. The heart that has slowly turned to stone, no,
stone is not hard enough, not nearly strong enough to compare. The heart that is
closely compared to diamond, although it has lost its shine.

And even as you sleep, do you see the light surrounding me, the shining aura
that is my hate, my utter disguist? The light that approaches you, never fading,
only growing brighter, blinding you. Showing you the tortorous consequences of
your actions.

Do you toss in you bed? Do you try to escape me, this nightmare before you?
These small, fragile hands that once held you close, the hands that now reach
for you, tering at your meager soul? Fingertips grazing lightly at the pulse
drumming in the soft flesh of your throat.

Do you awake, bolting form your bed, clutching your chest and cowering in the
darkest corner of your room, eyes franticaly searching the night, looking for an
unknown intruder? One that you will never find, never see. Only feel and fear as
you lie dreaming at night.
