In silence I mimic times posture,
lilting thin moments of life.
The strife to be mined
as precious vines,
discarded figments of grief.

Living wild without sorrow,
time slides dizzy in joy and sound.
Listening to silly giggles of intoxication,
willing the strings to sing like a violin
like light filtering into the piazza.

I wish for stillness.
