Winter
Wisps of mist
Intermingled with frosty blades
Naked trees shivering
Trembling in the icy wind
Eagerly awaiting the sun’s
Return for warmer days
Spring
Sprigs of confetti blossom
Pink petals flutter to the ground
Ripening buds unfurl
Into green and vibrant shoots
Nesting birds chirrup cheerily
Growth and new life abound
Summer
Seared sand is baked
Under an azure sky
Mouths parched, skin tanned
Mad dogs and Englishmen
Eagerly lie out
Roasting in the noon deep-fry.
Autumn
Angry leaves whirl in manic maelstroms
Unsettled, the sharp north wind turns
Time for scarves and gloves
Usher in Jack Frost
Make a stand under the russet sky
Nuts are stored while bonfires burn
