I feel her heart beat in mine.
I hear her mouth whisper unspoken thoughts.
I smell her enthralling scent
I see the subtle smile
I taste her intoxicating skin.
I know she feels the same, but the words go unsaid.

Phantom fingers run over mine.
Voices echo in my ears.
Ghostly fragrances make me stop and smile.
Memory gives me her face.
My mouth waters at her thought.
I know she is gone, but her memory remains quick.

We meet at a familiar place.
The laughter tickles our ears.
Our pheromones return, stronger, more livid.
We see change in each other, yet all is still the same.
Our lips hunger for each other.
We leave, knowing each other, but not knowing ourselves.

I feel her heart ache in mine.
I hear my mouth begging to say things unsaid.
I smell the want between us.
I see her crying behind my eyes.
I taste the salty sweetness of our tears.
I know what I lost and that I shall never have it again.

Beautiful

Hungry, hot, and aching. This is such an evocative line: "I feel her heart ache in mine." I'll be thinking about that one for a while. Great poem!
