Within my heart there lies a spot...
A secret and secure plot.
Hidden from the world and stashed away.
Never to be seen by night or day.
Secret from all there is or can be.
Protected from the harm it perceives or can see.
It cannot be touched, reached or wounded, by even me.
Yet now you have a place there.
Your words pierce the walls with care.
On you it has taken a chance and been willing to share,
This secret spot once known only by me.
Now can be shared ...
With the one who could see,
The little girl hiding in the shade of the tree.
