intensity overwhelming
so achingly close
a painful parting
confusion, anger

another's deception
hurt me badly
believing the falseness
my naivete

lovingly I cling to you
time is fleeting
unable to hold back
afraid to give

my soul laid bare
an open book
your truth a beacon
trying to trust

watching you with others
painful resignation
seduction so powerful
you belong to me!

our days are numbered
a sad reality
can we do this again?
will I survive?
