Secret Transformations

     Pale blue eyes,
Familiar but somehow strange
Meet my gaze
In the looking glass

Wide blue eyes look back at me,
A reflection of my own?
I see them before me
In a face full of surprise and wonder

Who is this I see before me?
Is it myself?
It certainly is not
The vision I am used to seeing in my mirror.

     Who is this lovely creature?
So vital and alive,
Her face softly glowing
Never have I looked this way before.

    What has happened to me?
What could transform a girl
So completely in thought and form?
A rare rose blooming out of the desert.

A bit of light dances off the mirror
Reflections of silver
Delicate neck encased in metal
Can you guess my secret?
