Do you have a secret?
I do.
A dark past, the skeleton in the closet…
Forbidden to speak of it,
Shameful for the scandal it can cause.

Shhh! Hush now, no one knows.
You are the good girl, always getting good grades.
Don’t tell, our secret, that’s right.
Who would even think it?
Not a soul will guess what haunts our family.

Trying hard to be so good,
But always failing, not perfect.
Hush now, do this again for me, I’ll give you what you want.
Be my good little girl, that’s right.
Struggling to just fit in…to just feel accepted…loved…

Keep the secret, never tell!
Because if you do, no one will believe you,
Daddy’s good little girl…perfect little girl…
Just wanting to fall apart because the secret
Is crushing her…

Do you have a secret?

I do.
