Seduction
by sassynyc
It is:
Tall dark and handsome
Big, bald headed and phyne
Six feet plus, the color of black berry molasses
It is:
Long legged and round hipped
Doe-eyed and full lipped
Silken and sultry, the color of burnt sienna
It is:
The amber glow from crystal tumblers
The sound of precious metal flowing
Liquid gold and silver filling glass
In a dimly lit room
It is:
The sparkle of stardust on mirrored tabletops
The shimmer of translucent pipes
The brilliance of white rocks
It is:
A ballet danced by six-sided lovers
Across a green felt stage
It is:
The sultry slink of scandal
Draped in black and white
The flash of the camera
Big city, bright lights
It is:
Dead presidents
And the joy they can bring
Passed from fingertips to palms
And taken in vain
Know this:
Anyone can be had
We are all weak
Simply a matter
Of the poison we seek
