'see' level

A tapping rhythm of fiber glass and water
as oars slip in and out of the wetness like a finger in the dew of love,
dripping as it rises and falls,
in and out of the wet world below the plane of 'see' level.

Slicing the surface like words whispered into an ear
that stirs the wake and ripples the water in ribbons of thoughts
hot breath on the neck from a warm southern breeze across the river of lust
paddling 'A' channel of 'B'ewilderment at the possibilities of a 'C' level.

Muscles tighten and strain then release in a push and pull from tight grasps
projecting forward in short burst from the oars thrusting driving force
eye to eye with the spray of wetness across the stern
the motivation of a canoe looking at the world at 'sea' level.
